Asphalt Ground Labourers

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic self-starters for Ground Labourer positions with our clients road surfacing crew in Welshpool. If you’ve got a licence, solid work ethic and want to kickstart your career – this one's for you!

This role is Monday – Sunday on day and night shifts with overtime available! Shifts can start as early as 3am and run for 10–12 hours. Pay rates range from $39.25 to $42.81 per hour depending on experience (inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus penalties applicable on night shifts, weekends and overtime!

Key Duties:

• Sweeping, shovelling and clearing debris from road surfaces
• Raking, spreading, and rolling asphalt by hand or using mobile plant
• Assisting spray seal team with ground labouring and compaction tasks
• Operating equipment such as rollers, bobcats, and tractor brooms (if licensed)

Requirements:

• White Card – Essential
• Driver’s Licence or MR Licence – Essential
• HR Licence & Roller Ticket – Highly Desirable
• Tractor or farming equipment experience – Highly Desirable
• Previous asphalt, plant, scaffolding or civil experience – Highly Desirable
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Willing to undergo pre-employment medical
